collection

This collection was inspired by the disco and hip hop scene and have combined the two very different scenes in the collection into one. Which is why the collection is also called "DIAMETRAL", which means situated on one level, in the opposite direction.

I orientated the collection on the 80s the disco scene and in the hip hop scene on several decades. The color of the collection is very bright and expressive, because many strong colors were worn in these scenes in order to attract attention with their look. The silhouettes are wide, O-shaped to make the outfits more comfortable, but also on the contrary, some parts are skinny to skinny and boxy. By playing with the silhouettes, I combine the two scenes into one. Because in the hip-hop scene everything is worn loose and wide, which also has something to do with the dance style of break dance, what emerges from this scene, so I'll also go into it. In the disco scene, everything was worn skin-tight and very revealingly. I would like to show the freedom of movement with cut-outs on some parts, but this is only a side aspect in the collection. With the soft fabrics such as soft shell with fleece lining and merino wool, I want to create a feel-good effect that is also warming at the same time. The reflective fabric, which is reflective, is a cool eye-catcher and makes sure to be seen in the darker days, which should fulfill the functional aspect. With the PVC, nylon and mesh I wanted to provide different tactile, eye and feel within the collection. With hybrid I wanted to create the multifunctionality of a garment within the collection to show how changeable a garment can be in the future.
