GRADUATE COLLECTION
ANALOG
THE CONCEPT
Coupled with the current color trends, which are inspired by Indian culture, the collection draws on the color palette of curry and saffron tones, which are also characterized by shades of blue. As well as the mix between different materials and haptics such as leather, silk and cotton blends. The application of beads as a technique related to the Indian craftsmanship of embroidery and the use of textile technologies and innovations such as machine-made embroidery and digital printing enhances the design concept.
The symbolism of the deity Ganesha also plays an important role in the collection as the god of wisdom and happiness. In relation to the collection, it is assigned the purpose of pointing the way to a positive future. By connecting the concept with all design features, a symbiosis of cultures should arise.
The "FASHION INTERCULTURE ERUPTION" collection is a fashion collection that stands for strength, grace and elegance. This deals with intercultural communication in the context of fashion as a form of communication. The problem of cultural appropriation and above all the emergence of intercultural misunderstandings is examined.
The collection is inspired by the diversity, spirituality and vibrant colors of Indian culture. To demonstrate the divergence of Indian and German culture, asymmetry and wide - narrow silhouettes are played with. The designs are underpinned by design elements such as decorative seams, unusual shapes, embroidery techniques, opulent knitted designs and modern prints that correspond to the current zeitgeist and fashion trends.
